طبقة الأوزون :
وهي طبقة من طبقات الغلاف الجوي لكوكب الأرض ، والتي تحتوي بشكل مكثف على غاز الأوزون ، متمركزة بشكل كبير في الجزء السفلي من طبقة الستراتوسفير ، وهي ذات اللون الأزرق في السماء .
تم اكتشاف هذه الطبقة من قبل : " شارل فابري وهنري بويسون " ، وقام " غوردون دوبسون " بتطوير جهاز لقياس نسبة الأوزون في عمود من الهواء في الغلاف الجوي .
تأتي أهمية هذه الطبقة من خلال تنقية الأشعة فوق البنفسجية من مجموع الأشعة الشمسية ومنعها من الوصول لسطح الأرض ، وذلك من خلال غاز الأوزون على ارتفاع 35 كم من سطح الأرض ، ومع ذلك يعتبر من الغازات السامة إذا ما وجد على ارتفاعات منخفضة من سطح الأرض .
إن استنزاف هذه الطبقة سوف يسمح للأشعة فوق البنفسجية الضارة من الوصول لسطح الأرض ، مما سيؤدي لزيادة إحتمال حدوث تغييرات في الجينات الوراثية للإنسان والحيوان معا والإصابة بالحروق والسرطانات الجلدية .

Ozone layer:
It is a layer of the Earth's atmosphere, which contains intense ozone gas, largely concentrated at the bottom of the stratosphere, which is blue in the sky.
This layer was discovered by: "Charles Fabbri and Henry Buisson", and Gordon Dobson " developed a device to measure the ozone content of a column of air in the atmosphere.
The importance of this layer comes by purifying ultraviolet radiation from the total solar radiation and preventing it from reaching the earth's surface, through ozone gas at an altitude of 35 km from the Earth's surface, yet it is considered a toxic gas if found at low altitudes of the Earth's surface.
The depletion of this layer will allow harmful UV rays to reach the earth's surface, increasing the likelihood of changes in the genetic genes of both humans and animals and burns and skin cancers.
