كوكب بلوتو :
يعد بلوتو من أشهر الكواكب القزمة في المجموعة الشمسية فقد تم اكتشافه عام 1980م ويمتاز سطحه بالتضاريس المتعددة : كالفوهات والجبال والوديان والأودية والسهول .
يبلغ نصف قطره حوالي 1151 كم ومتوسط بعده عن الشمس 5.9 مليار كم ويستغرق 153 ساعة للدوران حول نفسه و 248 عاما للدوران حول الشمس .
يمتلك 5 أقمار تدور حوله وهي : شارون - وينكس - هيدرا - كيربيروس - سيتكس ، وهو يدور بعكس الأرض من الشرق إلى الغرب .
